Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop

Hey Everyone!

This months hop is a homage to Bettie Page.  I love that Alison picked this theme in honor of Bettie Page's 89th birthday on April 22nd!

You should have arrived here from Torrey's blog, if not please start at the Bombshell Blog (the beginning) so you don't miss any of these awesome Bombshell projects!

For my project, I really wanted to use one of Bettie's quotes.  So, I handwrote the quote and added a few things as a homage to her.

The cheetah print represents one of her famous photos of her posing with cheetahs.  The leather bow and handcuffs represent her more risque photos.  The Bombshell Pin-Up Stamp is a representation of Bettie Page and all of the Pin-Ups (and really everyone) she's inspired and influenced.

I used pop dots to add some dimension.

Usually I leave white around my stamped image when I cut it out, but for this project I tried out Katie's tip for cutting out a stamped image, and I must say I love the results!

The roses are from Rose's Portrait and Mi Amor.

Hope you liked my gift box tribute to Bettie Page.  Please continue on to Alaine's blog - that's your next stop on the hop!

    Great design and coloring too.

P.S. I have a pair of mini handcuffs -- from a bracelet from Hot Topic! (not mine). I used one pair of 'em and put the other set "somewhere safe".
